Inspiring your design

We’re here to shape your ideas and inspirations. We have few tricks to help inspire your design! In our first meeting we’ll chat about lots of things. Whether we’re designing for you or for someone in your life, here’s a few ideas that will make the design process as creatively stimulating as it can be….

We may ask for a photograph of the person we’re designing for (if it’s a surprise). We’ll ask you to tell us about the pieces of jewellery they already own. We’ll want to know about their sense of style. What makes them… them! And, don’t worry, if you can’t put it in words, just show us your pictures.

We’ll ask if they like a certain era. Are they fans of art deco. Or Victorian. Or 60’s vintage.

Clean lines? Lots of sparkle? No sparkle?

We’ll ask you to point us to their Pinterest page or Instagram page so we can look for clues. Little hints that even you may have missed…

 

Initial ideas: stage 1

Depending on what we’ve talked about and agreed, I’ll then put a simple storyboard together. This will sketch out some initial ideas. Think of it as a taster menu! Then we’ll talk again to see what you like and what you didn’t like.

Design development: stage 2

Now things get exciting. If you’re happy with a certain idea, I’ll design the piece for you. This design might be a simple pencil drawing. Or it may be a 3D computer aided design (CAD) drawing. And occasionally, we’ll make a simple silver model so you can more easily visualise the design, the sense of scale, and the look and feel.

FInal design: stage 3

We’ll meet again so you can see the final design. Hopefully you will love it! We’ll make any necessary small tweaks. And then, once you’re absolutely in love with the design, we make it for you…
