No-one is underestimating the challenges we are facing at the moment, and we can draw some parallels to some of the difficulties during WWII, but on this day 75 years ago, after six year of war the joy in peoples hearts must have been bursting out of their chests!

75 years: Gold and diamond

In my weekly Gem yesterday I mentioned spending time with family is fast becoming a "new luxury" and I featured jewellery I've made my family.  Some of you may have noticed I made a little mistake when relating materials to my mum and dads wedding anniversaries - oops!

It should be: 50th: Gold  //  60th: Diamond  //  75th: Gold & Diamond. 

So because dad bought mum this gold and diamond Reminiscence ring for their 50th, and it is three rings in one, you could argue he's also got the 60th and 75th covered! ;)

Who deserves a little bit of luxury in their life right now?

I have been moved on so many levels today, that I would like to give someone special one of these gold and rose cut diamond rings from the Blemished Beauty collection.  It is a small gesture, but one that carries huge connection to people and time:  The 75th anniversary of VE day,  people supporting each other through isolation in 2020, you, me and your nominated little gem.
